I know RAW is better, I really do, but.....

I can't help being reminded of a comment from a pal's father (a very serious and high-powered engineer and car nut) when I was young and foolish and asked him for advice on the best suspension upgrade for my Alfa.....

"What on EARTH makes you think you can do a better job of suspension design than the engineering team at Alfa-Romeo"?

I know it's not the same at all, but I can't help thinking that the guys at Nikon might know a little more about image processing than I do

Discuss!

PS Written after an hour playing with various de-mosaicing options in RawTherapee and struggling to see a huge amount of difference, to be utterly honest. Image was an ivy-covered wall I use for test shots. I am starting to hate that ivy.
