Z 24-70S 2.8 vs 4 True focal length
I love my 24-70 F4 BUT with the lens correction applied and the trend that cheaper zoom lenses tend to cheat more on their stated focal range, the lens appears to be 26-27mm at the wide end in practical use. I have not measured this scientifically but from my experience of using 24mm primes and zooms, I get the impression.
I am curious if the more expensive 2.8 lens somehow was designed to compensate for corrections and offers a truer 24mm at the wide end. Does anyone know?
