One needs to take time to learn ANY camera. Find it's strengths and weaknesses.

The Panasonic ZS series give plenty bang for the buck, IMHO.

Here's some from a ZS60:

cropped from 720mm

full zoom at ISO 3200!!

Excellent O.I.S. this one at 1/40th shutter (low light)

ISO 400 at 720mm 1/40th

1/30th

All handheld. Tripod not needed, even with slow shutter speeds and at telephoto end.

Exactly. I see posts of poeple trying to shoot a long lens camera out of a moving car at some distant bird, and they say it’s a bad camera because the photo is not clear. Also I see reviews of poeple shooting a half bright sky/half green foreground and say camera is bad because photo is too dark. They don’t take the time to even learn how the camera works, that there are other modes than “auto”, or even the most basic concepts of photography. But they eagerly await the new arrival of the next camera coming out because maybe that one will give them “more sharpness in the corners”.

Excellent shots with the ZS60!
