I find the code of conduct section a little over the top.

I'm a little bit curious as to just which part seems "over the top" to you...?

These two stood out to me

  • iii. Don’t send spam. Spam is unwanted or unsolicited bulk email, postings, contact requests, SMS (text messages), or instant messages.
  • iv. Don’t publicly display or use the Services to share inappropriate content or material (involving, for example, nudity, bestiality, pornography, offensive language, graphic violence, or criminal activity).

Since when has Microsoft become the moral police? I suppose one could say the say of any tech giant.

If those are objectionable I'm sure you can find a service where you can share spam and content involving the things you don't find objectionable.

You could also not use their service.

Send them an email explaining why you're canceling maybe they'll grant you an exception.

Can't see the forest for the trees can you.

Microsoft does not want it's service used for sending out spam or illegal activity or content they think is inappropriate for their service.

A service you don't have to use if don't agree with their rules.

What forest can't I see?
