Your best Android and phone experience?
Jul 12, 2019
So I've used a few phones, mostly mid-range a few flagships and some low-end models, but I couldn't decide on which I like the best.
I really like the original Moto G with Android 5.1, did everything I wanted without any issues and battery life was pretty good too. The phone itself was solid and almost unbreakable (just need a screen protector), very compact (a bit thick though) and no issues in usability for me. Everything worked as it should, excellent for the money! It still works great after 6 years and the battery is still in good condition!
Sony phones were okay, I really like the launcher and overall Android experience. Sadly I didn't like some of the design choices and terrible camera performance so I started to look elsewhere. Hardware was generally good in some aspects, not so great in others, or priced way too high.
Samsung great hardware, but the high-res curved screens kind of drive me mad, I couldn't find a good solution to prevent accidental touches. The mid-range phones are not amazing however, some issues with the hardware, but generally okay. I really didn't like the Samsung UI and launcher in pretty much any of their phones. The customisation appear to eat up a lot of performance, but that's just my experience in specific phones.
Xiaomi offer truly excellent value, I like the notch-free phones the best but there isn't much to complain about, besides that I didn't like MIUI much, but I could deal with it if I had to. I thought it was better than Samsung One UI at least.
Nokia is great, excellent build quality, bloat-free Android, good price.
I've never used an Asus phone, seem to be hard to find in the UK but I'm liking what I see. I would like to buy one in the future maybe.
