CnC please. Daks over Duxford
3

Hi there, I visited the IWM Duxford for their 75th D-Day memorial event, which had an amazing number of Dakotas present. Weather was poor/raining at times with changeable light. Sadly, the parachute drop re-enactment due to take place had to be aborted. The traditional round parachutes being used would have been unsafe, which I fully understand. There was though a real buzz and sense of excitement as these wonderful machines took to the air. There is something about the sound of propeller driven aircraft. A lot of people lost their hats as you were quite close to the flight/taxi line. Hope you enjoy these pictures. Duxford is well worth a visit even when there is no airshow. There are separate hangers with different themes from WW2, US air force, military vehicles, and you can even visit restoration work shops. Regards John

Flights to be had for a lot of money-no shortage of takers.
