Re: Who has both Olympus 12-100mm and 40-150mm f2.8?

I do have both lenses AND 12-40mm/F2.8 too (I was just lucky to acquire them one by one half price in nearly new condition).

12-100mm is the best "one lens solution" for any system, and I tried many. 12-40mm is the one I use when I need more compact setup and/or when faster aperture is essential. It also makes a perfect combination with 40-150mm to fit into one small bag (exactly as I think was intended by Olympus)

40-150mm is used mostly for wild life and events like festivals and county fairs. Coupled with 1.4x TC it's quite good for birding (it's no 300/F4 but comes quite close given the price/value combination). Looking at the initial reviews, it looks like I'll start saving for the new 2x TC instead of for the mighty 300mm.

In short - if you are interested in event and wild life photography, you'll need 40-150F2.8 too. Start saving
