Dual camera system for natural wide-angle

Wide-angle lenses do give more natural coverage, but they have some kind of distortion which stretch things and give fake spacious feel. I see things like how 40-50mm lenses produce, but same time wide-angle. It is because of two eyes, but why there is no system cameras with two "eyes? Combining two photos from a different position is still too hard to make look good? Panorama shooting is one solution, but it is not suitable when there is too much motion. Just like bracketing or long exposures which can do miracles, but they don't always work well.
