A few in this forum use M and R bodies. While the top M is a lesser camera than the R, many M pictures will stand well against it.

In the long run any camera is as best as its lenses.  And the M lens family can still grow.

But we need to remember that buyers of M50... 100 and RP will usually be happy with the kit lens and may not purchase any more.

I cannot predict Canon strategy. Streaming the body and lens lines will happen as buyers select what best suits them. And I have some issues with an R apsc at a price point between M and RP.

I would not buy one.
