Wasn't it the US Patent Office at one time that said everything that could be invented, had been invented? Over a hundred years ago.

My statement doesn't preclude some, at present unknown, future technology that could result in major improvements. Holographic imaging comes to mind. Can you think of something?

Perhaps we're both right. I don't see major advances coming, but history has shown us that the major items are often surprises, happen quickly, and unforeseen. Whether that happens soon or not is by definition, unknown.
