Olympus service center: is it worth it?

Hi all,

I have 4-yrs old EM10 + 12-40mm PRO and 2-yrs old EM1ii. I was not particularly gentle with the gears. It went with me everywhere, during travel or hiking, bouncing on my body for the whole day or wrapped it in soft case and threw it inside my bag/pack. The gears have served me well, my trusted company during the trip.

Recently I revisited the first batches of photos taken with EM10+PRO lens. It looks much sharper and clearer compared to the recent photos taken with EM1ii. I feel the focusing is also not as snappy as I remembered it. To make it worse, both EM1ii and the lens once fell from a BR strap and bounced at concrete floor. Both are still working, but yeah, not sure if it's just my feeling but it's not as sharp.

My apology for the noob question. Is this a common case which requires lens maintenance (e.g. recalibration, etc)? Since the lens and body are out of the 1 yr warranty, is it still recommended to bring to Olympus service center?
