Focusing and optionally activating the electronic viewfinder adds at a minimum an additional 0.5 to 1 second.

So in practical usage, if the camera is off, you’re looking at 5+ seconds to capture the first 600mm shot. A lot can go by in 5 seconds - so something to carefully consider if you’re frequently aspiring to catch spontaneous, fleeting moments.

To ask for anything more would be ridiculous IMO
