I never ditch the hood
2

Of course, I learned "street" with an FM2, a 45mm pancake (lens hood is short and curves inward) a 105 2.5 (collapsible straight hood) and a 20mm 2.8 or 28mm 2.8 (short hoods).

Considering a used Leica 40mm 2.8 or a new Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 (because f1.2) both of which have small hoods.

I have the people skills to do street with a 24-70/4 S, and I would never skip a hood on such a complex lens.
