Bayer algorithm is a software interpretation
3

The sensor is already making an interpretation using software before the lens corrections are thrown in.  The Bayer algorithm makes guesses about what the color of each pixel should be based on its neighbors.  Nothing about photography is strictly speaking real.

Your brain is making all sorts of guesses about reality, too.

If you are happy with the end result, that should be good enough.

That's my reality.
