It is interesting to wonder if the camera did not have IBIS would anyone would be using it all.

I would. For me, it is the best X camera to use handheld.

With IBIS it would be so that does not entirely reassure me. I have never used the camera myself and will probably get one at the end of the year if they are cheap enough and I can save some pennies. Difficult to see that they are selling or generate a lot of enthusiasm though but I am a very undemanding user so if it is as good as my X-A3 then there would be no problem.

It's funny seeing the OP's post so soon after this one, written by a wedding photographer and ex-Nikon user who clearly loves his X-H1:

It doesn't sound like the user Grig has much patience or sympathy with those complaining about the X-H1 either. When you check out the fantastic results he gets from his, you can perhaps understand why.

Grig is a completely different person than the OP, possibly the place where they live and what they do and how they do things may very as well. Grig's wedding photos are just beautiful and it shows that grig has some experience and really good locations for weddings. I too swapped my XH1 for a mint D4 and then bought me two XT1 which can also produce bloody fantastic images like Grig's, at a fraction of the cost of the XH1

I'm wondering if the OP's camera is faulty in some way. His experience with the autofocus just doesn't sound right.

Mmmmm I used my XH1 for about a year and shot thousands of photos with it. Yes I too LOVED some of the features such as IBIS and that gorgeous perfect soft and quiet shutter button, man I miss that, but I do understand some of the OP's dislikes. The XH1 AF is sure not top of the line and logically Fuji already came out with a camera that has better AF, the XT3, so let's not pretend the XH1 rocks in AF and I too had freezing issues with it's AF system

And yes, that automatic VF button that the OP mention did drove me INSANE as well. Having to press that button three or four times in order for me to get what I needed drove me nuts and I would miss shots during events at times because of that, but hey I said to myself "it is what it is".

I too really like the XH1, but when it came down to the final product, the IQ, compared to every other Fuji I have used in the past something was very different, to my eyes, that I did not like and I was having a hard time dealing with in PP (and I'm not blaming Lightroom for that) so I kind of understand what the OP is saying, you are just not 100% happy, specially after spending a whooping $1899.

The XH1 is not perfect just as my XT1 isn't and I'm sure a XH2 will come out with superior AF and who knows what else
