Thoughts? Lens Design and Software Corrections

My philosophy is to evaluate the lens the way I'm going to use the lens. If I'm going to finesse the postproduction distortion corrections, I'll evaluate it that way. If I'm not going to evade them, I'll test is after the corrections are made.

What counts is the end result. You don't loose points for software correction, if it produces a superior end product.
