Hi,

on july I'll travel to Japan, so I'm looking for a small case for my Panasonic Lumix GX80 (GX85) + kit lenses (12-32 and 35-100) + spare batteries.

I'll probably travel with a rucksack, so I'm considering a product like Manfrotto NX-SB-IBU-2 (https://www.manfrotto.co.uk/nx-camera-shoulder-bag-i-blue-v2-for-csc).

What do you think, is this a good solution? Can you advice me another product?

Thanks

I prefer messenger style bag like this https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00CDS9EKE/ref=psdc_14054831_t3_B075M947QD

you can't go wrong with the Manfrotto appareil.

Have you found the Tenba BYOB - Build Your Own Bag - range.... a waterproof outer bag into which you fit a safely-padded insert that's got little pockets on every side except its base.

This is the size 9 combination - my favourite for the GX80...

Billingham Airline Stowaway works well. Mine has the GX80, 20/1.7, both kit zooms and battery (in a small USB charger). At a push I can also add the 42.5mm lens into the mix.

It's expensive though. A lot more than it was a few years ago when I bought mine. That said, it'll last forever.

Yes it's nice but it costs a lot (150 euro). I don't want to spend too much money.

I use a Caselogic TBC406 vertical holster. My 14-140mm f/3.5-5.5 goes in vertically. Then I use bubble wrap as a divider on top. My GX85 with 12-32mm attached goes in with lens facing down, ready to take out and shoot easily. If I have 14-140 attached I can do the same configuration (just reverse lenses).

The side pockets I have a Watson compact charger and USB cable on one side. The other side pocket I have a Ricoh DW-6 wide adapter and a body cap and a spare rear lens cap. Basically either side pocket is big enough to fit a small pancake lens like the 12-32mm or the 20mm.

The top flap of the case has a inside zippered pocket where I put 3 spare batteries and cards. There's also a small pocket in front you can put memory cards (I have lens cleaning paper there).

I chose a vertical holster because I wanted to have camera in ready position and the TBC-406 was one of the smallest that can fit everything I have.

There is also the TBC-405 which is a horizontal configuration, but the camera may have to go in sideways if you have another lens in the bag (as below).

I use the Mega Gear Neoprene case for the GX85 and kit lens. It fits well and is washable. For lenses the lens wrap made of Neoprene rubber. These fit well in the ApeCase Cubeze. All are super lightweight, washable, and provide great protection in a ruck.

And the ApeCase Cubeze is modular, so it works in any bag that will fit. And, with the Cubeze, you really don't need the Mega Gear wraps.

Guys, I'm in the same boat. I'd like a bag that could hold my Panasonic GX9 with attached 14-140 lens, the Panny 12-60 kit lens and my possible next lens, the PL 8-18 and hopefully could shove the PL 15mm f1.7 into a front pocket.

Any thoughts on either of these two cases?
