Yes, it is the equivalent of mine (Baader and 1000 Oaks).
No, there are not always sunspots. At present the sun is going through a solar sunspot minimum. (I think it's about past half way through the 11-year cycle.) Have a look at www.spaceweather.com then click on the image of the sun to get a much larger view.
As for focus of your image, I think it is at least "very close", but I notice the lower limb of the sun is blurry. I saw the same on some your other shots, and I think you should check the collimation of that lens (somehow which you'll have to look up).

Thanks mate! I will see what I can do about checking collimation, though I think it might be a bit late for me to do that before the eclipse.
