Some prime lenses are big and heavy. Sigma is perhaps the prime contributor to that situation, but Canon is also guilty -- consider the super-excellent 35mm f/1.4L II.

Canon should produce a line of practical prime lenses in the spirit of the new RF 35mm f/1.8 (24, 28, 35, 50, 85...) like those EF non-L lenses.

Yeah, it is a delight using 6D or 6D Mark II with one of those inexpensive, small, light and excellent non-L lenses. I suppose the same can be said about the RP.

The RF 24-105mm f/4L may be a great performer optically and in terms of AF, but I find it too big to go well together with the RP body.

I might get an RP and a ring EF-RF adapter for use with my (smaller) EF prime lenses.

True that. Some prime lenses are so good and so heavy! That's the reason I sold my Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art Lens. It just wears my hands and wrist out.

The RF24-105mm is indeed a superb lens for its price point. It feels better balanced in the R than in the RP.

You'll enjoy using your EF lenses once you get that ring EF-RF adapter. We're a bit spoiled in Asia, where our R and RP purchases usually came with such adapter.
