30mm equivalent for D5600

Looking hard at the D5600 with kit lens given the current sale price ($549) that expires in a few days, for everyday carry and street photography. I currently shoot m43 and I prefer the 18-24mm APS-C (28-35mm full-frame equivalent) focal range.

My dream m43 lens has been the Panasonic-Leica 15/1.7 ($598), which is the equivalent of a 20/2.3 lens in APS-C.

I know kit lenses have tradeoffs given their price. So.... any quality APS-C primes or zooms in that general 18-24mm range and in that same under $600 price point that would

  1. have an appreciably faster aperture than the kit lens, and
  2. be appreciably sharper
  3. and hopefully focus faster

The lenses I've found when researching this have boiled down to:

  • Tokina AT-X 14-20mm f/2 PRO DX ($500)
  • Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX ($580, but huge)
  • Nikkon 20mm f/1.8 ($600 used, $717 new)

... but I don't really know if they're any sharper than the kit lens.

Suggestions?
