Inexpensive 90-degree plate by ShoppingItForLess thru eBay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/223475306029

For $21, I simply couldn't resist it even tho I have a perfectly fine ProMediaGear PXB3 plate with PLX3 and PLX4 90-degree arms.

Anchors tightly and locates with 2 small pins into the bottom of the body.. The 90-degree arm is removeable, but neither the hex wrench nor the screw is captive, which means that one of these trips, I'll lose both. ;-(

Pros:

1. I LOVE the dark-red color; if you do not, order the black one.

2. It's very light at 86 grams or 3.0 ounces.

3. It adds 8mm or 5/16" to the height of the handgrip, JUST right for me.

4. Has a boss at the top of the 90-degree arm which can stop against the camera-strap loop (NOT the body of the camera); this will limit flexing of the bracket and arm if the camera with heavy lens is attached via this arm.

Cons:

1. It's very light which means that, ultimately, it's not as strong as, say, a bracket from Kirk or RRS.

2. The 90-degree arm, when attached, limits 'flipout' of the rear screen to about 170 degrees.
