I am always surprised at just how many YouTube vloggers using the GH5. I tried the G9 for a few months, great camera but I could not let go of my EM1.2 so the G9 went.....

Recently I bought a 2nd hand GH5 with 12-60mm Leica. Both I am interested trying and experiencing...... I have the older GH4, probably one of the best video tools in a camera body at its time. No other camera were as popular amongst the amateur filming community as the GH4..... How much better is the GH5?

Problem is the GH5 reacts strange, I cannot format an SD card in the second slot and its video recording acts strange. Experimenting a lot I learned the 2nd card slot is damaged. When adding a SD to the 2nd slot the camera behaves strange, when removing the SD card all is perfectly OK.

Looking into the card slot it seems one of the contacts has bend causing the problem. Question is how best to fix. The seller is OK paying for the repair if reasonable. I see two screws on the card slot assembly wondering if that will allow me to remove the card slot unit and "repair" it..... When not fixing it the resale value drops significantly.....

Anybody else had this experience or any advice on how to fix it myself.....

Interesting is how this card slot unit functions compared to the G9 or the EM1.2. These two cameras requires one to slide in the SD until it click into position and its done. On the GH5 one needs to apply pressure to the outer side of the SD card to get to the click. If not it is a struggle to get the card in place. Can this be a reason one read more people experienced a card slot failure on the GH5? Is this a GH5 weakness?

You can buy a replacement SD-card slot /holder , not sure how easy it would be to install it though. Hope you get it fixed
