Windows 10 plus a fair collection of applications such as MS-Office and various graphics programs takes up about 60Gb, so you can get by with 128Gb for the boot SSD, provided that you have no other plans for it, such as the catalog.

Honestly with the price of SSD's dropping by the day I can't understand why anyone would get anything less than a 256gig SSD for the boot drive. Add that SSD's also like to have a bit of breathing room for optimal performance. And with a 128gig it'll probably get filled to about 60 percent (about 76gig) right off the bat. Than what?

BTW this also goes in line with my attitude of never splitting the OS to different drives.

Anyway I see no reason to get such a low capacity drive for the OS. That's me.
