Notice how many people post about problems with newly-bought cameras, fretting about some DIY work or work-around they can do to fix it?  Only reason this happens is you bought the camera from a non-authorized (likely online) seller and you have no recourse if the camera is defective.  With cameras costing thousands today, this really strikes me as false economy, even if you save $100.00 on the price for whatever reason.  If buying online, stick to an authorized in-country (as many camera companies have prohibitions against selling into other countries) dealer.
