At F1.4 and on pinpoint AF the lens misfocuses. The pinpointed image looks sharp, but the result is not. Usually way front focused.

However, on cross pattern AF it focuses accurately. Also manual focus is fine.

Has anyone else run into this?

Could it be a camera setting? Or, is this a lens issue.

This probably doesn't apply if you are taking the picture at wide open, but do note that MFT by default focuses wide open and then stops down the aperture to your setting. This can cause the focus to drift (such that it's sharp in preview, but not in the result).

It could be possible the pinpoint mode stops down the lens during focus and opens it up when taking the picture (although I haven't seen anyone say there is a lens that does that).
