RX10 M6: moving focus point

I tend to use the flexible spot mode.  When I first select it from the function menu, it appears as a small square on my scree surrounded by arrows.  I can use the dial buttons to move it up/down/left/right.  However, as soon as I press the center of the dial, the arrows go away, and I can no longer move the spot (unless I use the touch screen).

Is there a way to re-enable the arrows and move the spot with the dial without going back into the function menu?

Also, is there a quick way to reset the focal point to the center again after it's been moved?
