Strange G9 vs E-M1 MKII pricing strategy......I think

This is out of Honk Kong, so a parallel import, but from a company also based here in NZ. Take it with a grain of salt I guess.

The company has the E-M1 MKII $400 NZ ($260 US) cheaper than the G9. Now I was after a G9, but with Oly hopefully bringing out a lens I plan to get next year, then another Oly body is what i would look at.

I emailed the company and said that everywhere I go on the net, the G9 is always a fair bit cheaper than the E-M1 MKII. The reply was simple enough and fair enough I guess along the lines of

"We don't follow other companies pricing strategies"

So while that's fair enough and it might come down to profits or whatever, I did find it a bit odd.

Has anyone else found in their country that the Panasonic G9 is more expensive than an E-M1 MKII?

All the best and I'm just curious if it's an odd ball case or quite normal.
