Canon M100 + Voigtlander 58 1.4 sl-ii Nikon

One of the reasons I got the M100 was portability as a daily shooter. The 15-45 does the job decently as a kit lens.

As gear has a way of getting to your head, I wanted to try my Nikon lenses and see what I could get in the way of perhaps improved quality, while maintaining portability, albeit losing AF.

Thus I obtained 2 cheap Fotga adaptors (one for G lenses and the other for non G ones) and I started testing Nikon mount lenses of relatively small size.

These include

- Tokina 35 micro 2.8. Not excited by the results first time around (lots of CA) but I will try it again

- Nikon 28-80 3.3-5.6 G. Not as excited as what I get pairing it with my D2Hs.

- Nikon 50 f2 Ai. Happy as size is small, rendition vintage Nikon.

- Voigtlander 58 1.4 SL-II. Wow! Now this lens is attached on my M100 and while heavier that the others still is quite portable and balances lovely holding the rig on the palm of my hand focusing with thumb and index using 5 or 10x magnification and peaking.

Below a few (non artistic) samples. I love the micro contrast, color and depth rendition and the bokeh. Almost no difference if I was shooting it on my D750 as to how organic my photos look to me.
