In good light and at base ISO the V2 is capable of very good image quality, especially when shooting in RAW and processing in Lightroom. All of the N1 zoom lenses are sharp shot wide open, albeit with relatively small aperture. The V2's AF is outstanding. I have had no problems shooting birds in flight despite what detractors say about EVFs and mirrorless AF. The 10-100mm non PD lens is sharp at all focal lengths and fast to focus, which is surprising for a X10 zoom lens. When my Nikon DX system became too much of a burden my V2 became my favorite travel camera. I have now switched to Fujifilm from Nikon DX for the majority of my photography for better IQ and better low light performance, but when I need a 10x lens or extreme telephoto I still reach for my V2's with a 10-100mm on one and a AFP DX 70-300mm w/ FT1 adapter on the other V2 body.

Some V2 examples shot in RAW and processed with Lightroom 4.
