I use to work for a photography that handles these yearbook shoots. It was quite alarming to see how they work. As many people have already posted, they try to simplify the process to go through as many students as possible without any variations. The pictures get uploaded as they are taken to some computer for immediate processing. No person is going to post process them. As for the photographer, there is no room or time for creative input. It is unfortunate that they hire people with just enough IQ to just follow directions and hit the shutter.
