Sorry about this and done to death but...

My prints are miles off between monitor and printed image - and I mean miles! I have tried every combination going and getting no where. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there an issue with my kit?

I have custom profiles for all papers. I soft proof before printing. Daylight balanced bulbs etc in my room - you name it. I fully understand btw (unless there's something hidden) that prints will never match completely the image on screen but surely they have to be somewhere close? Can a profile get lost between computer and printer. Be miss-read or just not work?

When I had a photography business I sent everything of to a lab. It was the usual labs prints I received back but done the job. But this is driving me nuts...

FYI... 27" IMac and Canon Pro 1 printer.

Any light shed would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi,

You COULD be using the dreaded Mac 'Airprint' driver?

Note that normally when printing with Application Color Management from a Mac, 'Color Management' is automatically switched off in the printer driver.

Some info here, and also some in general about printing from Macs:

https://www.colourphil.co.uk/printing-canon-mac.shtml

Some info about 'prints being too dark' which is almost always down to monitor 'calibration' being too bright:

Cheers,

Phil
