I'm basing this on the fact I owned the D200 and someone back there said it was basically the same camera - so maybe ask them why they made the comparison?

Looking at DXOmark confirms to me that it doesn't even stand up to lower end dslr today. The ISO performance is paltry and the DR is worse than a Sony A68

The S5 Pro is based on the D200 body but the Super CCD sensor is entirely different than that in any Nikon camera.
