LENR - when to use it?

Would be interesting to get some opinions / advice when to use the LENR (long exposure noise reduction function) and when better not.

Is there a exposure time recommendation when to use and when not? For example, better don’t use it below a certain exposure time as it is not necessary/ helpful!

The reason for my question: The LENR function on my X-T3 doubles the exposure time, something that can get difficult when shooting under time limited circumstances (sunrise, sunset, etc.). Also, I could imagine that also LENR has drawbacks as there is nothing for free, means everything has its two sides.
