edorf_71, the OP, wondered about extension rings. The following was taken with the 50mm f2 with the MCEX-11 ring. I think (I hope) it shows that the rings enable you to take interesting shots with an ordinary lens. The 50mm + MCEX-11 makes for a very compact and light 'travel macro' solution:

Nice shots! I have ordered the MCEX 16 and will try that on the 60 and 50-140. That might get me close enough. Here is two of the shots I posted originally but in 100% 1:1 quality. These are severe crops so not too bad in that regard.
