Galaxy Note 9 - Raw vs Jpeg OOC example

Hey all,

Just a quick example of how a post processed DNG out of a Note 9 can look.

Note 9, out of camera jpeg with no post processing

Note 9 DNG processed with LightZone (which is a kind of lightroom alterantive for linux)

Download both files and flip between them in full screen to notice the differences.

I understand that everyone has their own ideas of what kind of look they want from a photo. I tried to go for a fairly neutral look that sort-of matched the out of camera look in terms of exposure and overall balance. Whatever you think of my edit, I think it's fairly dramatic what you are able to recover and improve in these kinds of high dynamic range shots. Something to consider if you are serious about your mobile photography.

I used Camera FV-5 to capture the DNG simply because I happen to have bought that app a long time ago. The Samsung camera app allows raw capture as well.

What do you guys think?
