2 versions of the same image

Unless I want to remove some unpleasant part, I'm often reluctant to crop an image to keep what's the most important to my eye. Don't know why...

Below is an example. I went to the wonderful "Parc Borely", nearby, with my grandson, and we came across this peacock, which wasn't shy at all.

My first reaction is to frame so that the peacock, with all its feathers, is within the frame.

But when I think about it, I realize that the cropped image is more interesting to my eyes. What do you think ?
