To each their own, but I wouldn't be as happy with a body that wide. The RF lens mount is so much bigger and the heavier lenses require a beefier grip, so you get a less ideal setup (for my purposes.) It easier to swallow if you're getting the FF sensor with it.

I don't understand todays call for smaller and even smaller cameras ... I prefer ergonomy - big grip and space for fingers with bigger lenses. If M5 should be semipro APS camera and if EF/EF-S lenses should be used without problems it's logical to make it the same size as RP. Look at 77d/80d - grip is much bigger and ergonomy is much better.

And small body size lead to demand for small lenses - such lenses ar slow, with significant vignetting and distorsion ... It's a way to hell, sorry.
