Under-Expose, Lift Shadows Later, avoid blown skies primarily

This surprised me. Sky was not a consideration here.

Horribly exposed original, self timer, inadvertently left -1.3ev and spot metering which must have seen only a spot of Laura's white blouse.

Crop It

Lift Shadows, OMG, it got all that. In 1/2000th of a second.

P Mode prefers ISO 125. Very bright light, it chose f10 and 1/2000th shutter speed to get ISO 125.

Shooting my rx100's, I often cut exposure as needed, (never like this) primarily to prevent blown out skies, especially if not using my CPL filter. Lift the shadows in Post.

You cannot cut highlights later much, skies, bright areas get nasty looking quick.

I am shocked at the extent of recovery here. repeated images for original/final adjacency
