I am afraid that disabling VC mechanically won't help here. I think Z6 gets information on whether lens supports VR electronically, then decides use lens VR or IBIS.

I found a different information on the net. Apparently VC and IBIS can work in tandem. It's not a case of either/or:

"IBIS works on 5 axes (yaw, pitch, roll, X and Y). It drops to 3 axes (pitch, yaw and roll) when using the FTZ adapter and a lens without VR, or combines the 3 axes with optical stabilization for lenses that have VR"

I saw similar information on Sony MILC, but not sure if it was the same for Z6/Z7.

...at the 50 second mark.

Have also seen it in some Nikon information leaflet or brochure, but can't find it now.

Thanks for the video link. Is there any way to tell tell if IBIS was engaged when using lens with VR?
