I am constantly amazed at how many trees and shrubs germinate and grow in the red rocks. Here you can see pine trees and ground shrubs growing on the rocks. Image taken with he SD15 and the 50 mm F:2.8 macro lens.

Enjoy!

Wonderful photo Larry - Thanks for sharing...

Question?

Any chance seeing that photo (according to the EXIF data) - was/is dated: 2011.

Any chance you could go back there - now 8 years later, WITH the same camera and lens combo, AND - also with the SD1M (Merrill) AND SD Quattro - to capture comparative shots to see the differences - tree growth, rock "erosion" (?) - etc..?

Have a nice day,

Ed

Thanks Ed for nice comments.

Answer: I no longer have the ,50 mms macro lens. Kathleen shoots the SD15 do I still have limited access. I have the 24-70 and the 17-70 mms lenses and could shot all cameras at 50 mm. As soon as it stop snowing and raining here I can run up Red Rocks park and duplicate that shot.

Yeah those weather conditions MUST change (Smiles -  ) - for the "Fair weathered photographer" you are.. to make it work..
