Dust on sensor, first time ever! G9

Since I have owned Panasonic cameras, this is the first time I have a stubborn relatively significant spot of dust that the built-in cleaning system cannot remove. In fact I went through the hassle of blaming the lens, but when it only changed with aperture, not zoom, and stuck around with a lens swap.

For 8 long years of changing lenses of maybe twice a week (not very often), I never once had to clean the GH-2 sensor. It was THAT good at staying clean.

I wonder if the sensor cleaner isn't as good due to stabilized sensor vs. the fixed one in the GH-2 that had a dedicated ultrasonic cleaner?

Now I have to not be a chicken and try my hand at cleaning it. I have no tools for it. What do you recommend?

I am assuming an air squeegee first, but what else should I pick up?

I tried the menu option 4 times now with no impact.
