F Lens Sharpness on Z7 vs D850

Are F-mount zoom lenses sharper on Z7 than the D850? I would've expected the F-mount lenses to be of equal sharpness on the Z7 since the Z7 focuses directly from the sensor,  and not having to rely on a single Auto Fine Tune average value across the wide and tele end of a zoom lens.

This should have resulted in higher MTF numbers at certain focal lengths. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case. So when PhotographyLife tested the Nikon Z7 + FTZ + 24-70/2.8 F-mount lens, it was dissapointing to see the MTF numbers a tick lower on the Z7 than on the D850 across the board. I've been delaying getting a Z7. What have been your experiences of F-mount G lenses on the Z7?...

Another reason is that The FTZ mount is inhibitory for quick tripod changes. The tripod mount should be on the camera body.

Question: Will there be a seamless radial type FTZ adapter like the Canon RF, instead of the squared clunker on the Nikon FTZ?

My lenses are the 14-24/2.8G, 24-70/2.8G, and 70-200/4G VR.

Thanks
