Adobe Camera Raw, which is used by Lightroom, Bridge, and Photoshop. Lightroom itself is not a RAW convertor?

Not really. Yes it converts, somehow, but if you have a 20MP sensor and RAW file, then it will crop it to a 18MP or such, depending on the lens. If you are a 1" compact user, or a mirrorless user (for most ML cameras), then ACR very significantly crops your pictures (it's not only a tiny 5% crop), without letting you the choice of doing otherwise, and whatever the camera settings. So Indeed, I think that Adobe products ruin the RAW purpose and are so far from beeing even decent RAW converters, that they shouldn't be called RAW converters.

(that's from a mirrorless user perpective ; it is however OK for a DSLR)
