In the worst case, there's always the adaptor possibility...

Canon and Nikon DSLR owners are already pushed that way - certainly Nikon, after reading their recent annual report.

If one likes the pentaprism OVF, Pentax seems to be more keen on keeping it going than anyone else. APS-C, FF or 645...

As for Sony, I've only touched an A7 series camera once, in a store. It felt small and delicate. It nay be capable, but was quite unispiring to me. It had a kit lens on. I asked the person at the counter if they carried any Pentax gear, he said Pentax had stopped making pro gear years ago. I couldn't help it: i put my K1+grip+24-70 on the counter next to the Sony - poor fellow went pale. Pentax ain't dead yet!
