I am facing this dilemma now as well! Half a year later, any regrets on making the purchase?

No regrets at all. I love both.

56f1.2 brought me AF comfort (in dim places not that much), great dof separation effect creating a very thin focused slice (with 35f0.95 you can get it also though you must get closer), tone is a bit on cooler side (35f0.95 tone is warmer), a bit better contrast and definition but not by far.

35f0.95 main points vs 56: price and wider fov versatility is great especially indoors or narrow places to add more blurry context to your picture (56f1.2: have to move some steps back). What I’d change in a 3rd version is the clickless aperture ring since I usually shoot at f0.95 and sometimes I inadvertently change its aperture very easily, though is a useful feature for video.

Actually the big issue is to choose which one to pick when I just want to carry 1 or 2 lenses, usually 56 is a great combo with a 23, when I pick a 35 I usually get the mighty 16f1.4, if I want a bit more coverage the best combo that works for me: XPro2 with a 56f1.2, 16f1.4 and a X100F.
