Focus peaking does not show up unless the lens is in manual focus mode. There are different focus peaking colors, I would suggest trying them all.

The 8x zoom feature automatically becomes active when the lens is in manual focus mode. This is helpful.

I have used a Sony A7RII. The EVF and consequently the focus peaking feature in that camera is much better than the Sigma sdQ cameras. The A7RIII is supposedly better yet.

Sigma will have to make major improvements in their EVF and/or the processes used to drive it in the upcoming camera.
