I agree. Every time a focus stacking thread comes up I issue the challenge for anyone to show me a photo with the step size was too large. I always use step size 10 and I've never seen any blurry areas in between any sharp areas even in a macro shot.

I believe that Fuji is ultra-conservative in advancing the focus plane.
