As always every time the new body comes around the then old new body is shelfed to the second one/backseat. So just question out interest: would you upgrade as hobby photographer and sell your g80 in order to buy the g90?

No, I have 2 x G80 and will not consider upgrading until a  G80 dies and the G90 price has dropped - as it surely will over time.

From G7 to G80 that was a resonable big step ahead.

shuttershock control by much better shutter, 4K usage improved, button layout, even more stacked with features, weathersealing,

I think the step form G7 to the G80 was big and very worthwhile.

So what is shining bright comparing the G80 vs G90?

sensor improvement and resolution? 16Mp vs 20Mp? new one. Does this improvement shows more then alone more cropability?

Assuming a more powerful processor, there may be other advantages, like better Jpegs OOC.

Rearranged buttonlayout? Was the G80 not good enough? I mean new can be just new not really better.

A small learning curve for new/rearranged buttons but shouldn't be significant.

video: yes highspeed/slowmotion video is not present on the g80. (why? on purpose i think to keep the distance of the GH serie.) but now ?G9 and G90 has those slowmotion posibility so firmware upgrade on G80 done.

Not significant to me, I shout very little video and only HD. When I do, it's the only time I use iA

any thing else?

A plus, I think, is that it uses the same batteries and Grip as the G80.
