I think the XE series are fantastic!  My first Fuji was the X-E1 and I shot the heck out of it for years.  Today I’m shooting the X100F and XPRO2 having sold my X-E3.

The XEs are very compact which makes them a primo choice as a 2nd body.  I found the controls differences between the XE3 and X100F (strange as it may seem my primary Fuji body) to be distracting enough that I swapped to the XPRO2.  You might want to look at how you’ve setup your XPRO to  make sure that you can either replicate the controls on the XE or that the differences between the two are immaterial to your style.

Opted into the Fuji X system big time. Like to travel light and shot quick; that's why I also have a Ricoh GR....
