Despite moving to another brand of full-frame cameras, I still keep my NX500 because no other ASP-C compact can touch it. I do a lot of backpacking where volume and weight are important and the NX500 with the 12-24mm is the smallest and lightest crop sensor camera with an ultrawide angle perspective available. In fact, it is still ranked #2 on the DXO ASP-C list after all these years. Are the other manufacturers not even trying? I can only wonder how awesome a second gen. NX1 or NX500 would have been!

Just wonder too. But doing ok with what I got. But as you mention the 12-24 maybe one for sale here. Not mentioned price. Read review at Ephotozine, not too good. But in real life, good enough?

My copy of the Samsung 12-24mm is better than "good enough".  This lens is very sharp edge-to-edge, is light weight, uses standard filters, and is relatively cheap.  What more could you ask for?  I have noticed some field curvature at 12-16mm, but that is not unexpected and easy to correct.  I'm not sure what you mean by "sale" and "price" as I'm not selling mine even though I own the Sony ultra-wide lens and the Zeiss Batis 18mm.
